Thermal Imaging

The goal of using thermal imaging isn't just to find concerns—it's to maintain balance. By incorporating these scans into a regular maintenance routine, we can establish a "thermal baseline" for your animal. Knowing what is normal for them makes it significantly easier to spot subtle changes before they become major setbacks. This tool is particularly valuable for performance horses, senior animals, and those recovering from injury, providing an extra layer of data to ensure their wellness plan is as accurate as possible.

Seeing the Unseen : Advanced Visualization for Proactive Wellness, for Horses, Pets, Livestock & People

In the world of wellness, being able to "see" what a body is feeling is a game-changer. I'm proud to include professional thermal imaging in my sessions. This non-invasive, radiation-free technology shows heat patterns across the body, giving a unique window into how a horse, dog, goat, or person is feeling and moving.

Who It's For
Horses: performance, pleasure, and senior horses, plus horses returning to work
Dogs & Cats: sporting and working dogs, active pets, and seniors
Livestock & Farm Animals: goats, sheep, donkeys, mini horses, alpacas, and more
People: riders and active people who want to see where their body may be compensating or holding tension

How Digital Thermography Works
Thermal imaging (or infrared thermography) uses a highly sensitive camera to detect the heat given off by the surface of the skin. Blood flow and muscle activity create heat, so the camera produces a detailed "heat map." Differences in these patterns show me where a body may be working harder or holding tension. That helps me tailor bodywork and track changes over time.

Key Benefits
Baseline Awareness: Notice changes in heat patterns early, so you can keep an eye on them and share anything unusual with your veterinarian or healthcare provider.

Objective Progress Tracking: Compare scans over time to see how the body is responding to bodywork, rest, or changes in exercise.

Saddle, Tack & Gear Fit: See friction points or uneven pressure from saddles, girths, harnesses, collars, or packs that may be causing discomfort. For riders, it can also show how you sit in the saddle.

Biomechanics Insight: Spot patterns where a horse, dog, or person may be loading one side or one limb more than another.

Horse & Rider Together: Scanning both horse and rider can show patterns that mirror each other. A rider's tight hip can show up as uneven loading in the horse's back.

A Proactive Approach to Wellness
The goal of thermal imaging isn't just to find concerns. It's to maintain balance. When scans are part of a regular maintenance routine, we can build a "thermal baseline" for each animal or person. Knowing what's normal for them makes it much easier to spot subtle changes before they become major setbacks. Thermal imaging is especially valuable for performance and working animals, seniors, those returning to work, and the active people who ride and care for them. It adds a layer of information that makes each wellness plan as personal as possible.
